Statement of Legitimacy & Accountability
ServePlanet's statement of Legitimacy & Accountability
Legitimacy
Charitable Institutions are often questioned about their legitimacy to raise issues and spread awareness on plastic pollution and poverty. ServePlanet aims to attain an authority through the following:
- ServePlanet's aims at resolving the issues on plastic pollution and poverty by carrying out an in-depth research and required actions.
- ServePlanet will work with environmental issues and poor people in developing as well as developed countries, involving local partners and employing local people who understand the issues on the ground level.
- ServePlanet will carry out tasks to remove and reduce litter and plastic waste from water bodies and eradicate poverty which will be recognised by the international community, its partner organisations, allies, and other agencies.
- ServePlanet will work as an independent charity.
ServePlanet will also carry out advocacy and policy work to make sure that governments and international organisations understand the needs of plastic pollution and poor people, and work towards the needs of the local environment and improving the lives of poverty stricken people.
Members of the public will help in our campaigning and to convey our message and to increase awareness of our work.
Accountability
In order to achieve our organisational mission and to ensure that our work has the greatest impact on plastic pollution and poverty, we believe it is vital to be accountable to our key stakeholders.
Key stakeholders include the individuals and communities with whom we work; partners and allies; donors and supporters; staff and the wider public; and regulatory bodies in the UK and in countries where we operate.
We will operate with complete transparency and information-sharing and better evaluation and compliance mechanisms.
