How:
- ServePlanet first locate poor and vulnerable individuals using publicly available data and with the help of a wide range of care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers and police to identify people in crisis.
- We also send field staff door-to-door to digitally collect data and enrol recipients. We target households using criteria that vary by region- aggregating a range of factors.
- The pop-up food pantry accordingly collects the supplies and set itself up in a radius which is within the reach of maximum individuals who are in need.
- The supplies will be distributed without any cost or pre-registrations.

Impact & Public Benefit
Millions of tonnes of avoidable food waste is generated by the UK food industry each year. At the same time food poverty is a huge and growing problemwith almost 4 million children in the UK living in households that struggle to afford to buy enough fruit, vegetables, fish and other healthy foods. By providing food and removing hunger, ServePlanet will help the disadvantaged adults and children get access to high quality food. At the same time, a pledge made by beneficiaries against plastic use will help in spreading awareness of the evils of plastic.
